Thanks to a $1.3 million joint initiative, the facility now offers top-tier amenities including a modern launch area, extended bulkhead, and expanded paved parking. After a day on the water, relax at the covered pavilion with restrooms, featuring safe, well-lit walkways. Ongoing ecosystem restoration projects by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers ensure the lake’s water quality remains pristine for years to come.

Getting There
Located in Assumption Parish, access is simple. From LA-1, turn onto Canal Road (LA-401 S) and drive approximately 9.3 miles to the launch. Alternatively, take LA-400 W to LA-401 S and follow it for just over a mile to reach the water’s edge.

As part of a massive watershed spanning three parishes, this vital waterway connects with Grassy Lake and Lake Palourde before feeding into the Gulf of Mexico, serving as a stunning example of Louisiana’s rich ecological heritage.
